Speaker Leontine Bibo – Neighborhood Families

While youth care continues to clog up and not a week goes by without abuse in the media, Neighborhood Families is growing and flourishing. Started in 2015 as a citizens' initiative with an experiment in 3 municipalities, and is now active in 120 municipalities! Enormous, rapid growth. The concept is simple and has a preventive effect. By linking a family that is having a tough time to a warm and stable family in the neighborhood, parents can take a breather and children can be carefree children. Neighborhood families shape a society where we raise children together. Where people go outside their bubble and make connections with families with different backgrounds and customs. How did this social enterprise grow so quickly? Founder and director, Leontine Bibo, talks about the success factors and the lessons learned.
